The 53rd Mumeishi 3s!
Registration is now open!
We're really excited that this year, thanks in part to support from the British Kendo Association, we will be moving to a TWO DAY competition!
This will allow more time for all competitions, and allow us to expand the Junior competition in particular.
Saturday (14.11)
Saturday 8am-5pm will be the women's individual and teams event.
The usual rules apply in the team event, with 3 members in a team, and members of the team must include at least one non-Dan grade with no more than 2 years of experience, and all members must be 18+.
Initially, dojos are limited to two teams entered. As time goes on, if there are lots of spaces, we will relax this rule.
For the women's individual the same rules also apply, with 2 entries allowed from each dojo initially.
Sunday (15.11)
Sunday 9am-3pm will be the junior competition.
This year we are keeping the junior categories the same, but converting the 13+ categories to pool events to allow for more matches.
The junior categories are:
Non bogu (any age below 18) [Kote, Men, Dou, decision by Hantei]
Age 6-9 [Kiri Kaeshi & Keiko only (1 minute), decision by Hantei]
Age 10-12 [2 minute matches, elimination format]
Age 13-14 [2 minute matches, pool format]
Age 15-17 [2 minute matches, pool format]
